It's not winter yet and the number of drivers I see with one headlight out is quite staggering. Recently I have had the potentially dangerous experience of meeting vehicles coming towards me with the off-side headlight broken; from a distance these vehicles appear to be motorbikes. Not only is highly dangerous but it is exceedingly selfish; causing other drivers to adjust rapidly at the last minute when the full outline of the vehicle is apparent. It is also unnecessary as for the investment of between £5-£10 will get you a set of spare bulbs from most main dealers or shops like Halfords. Ask yourself this question; is my life worth £10? I think most people will think it is; carry spare bulbs at all times; they take a few minutes to replace. Keep yourself, your passengers and other road users safe at all times; check your lights regularly.
